Zsalamar

Morty is a Zsalamar space mechanic who lives and works in a massive space port. He ends up being Taqriel’s guide on Brypso 2. 

But this image is of the night before he met Taqriel. This image is about sandwich lady.

In Morty's culture - he's a big deal. His helmet signifies that he excelled in his coming of age ceremony at the highest level. He actually managed to find, see, and survive an encounter with a flickerjaw snare shark. Does that somehow make him good at talking with the pretty lady in the cafe who works 3rd shift? No. No it does not.

The night before Taqriel busted out onto the scene, Morty and his team were tasked with fixing some heavy machinery that had been smashed, and they'd been at it all day. He stayed late past his shift.

He heard a small cough and there she was - sandwich lady. He's been too nervous to ask her name. She was holding a small bag and then there was a sort of high pitched buzzing in his ears. She was speaking to him...something about the bag, which she held out.

His numb hand grabbed the bag and he said probably something awkward and a little dumb but he doesn't remember. The only thing that matters is that when he reached for the bag, she gave his hand a little squeeze and smiled at him before leaving. A few hours later, he opened the bag and found his favorite! - fish and ray skin on wheat (with TWO pieces of ray skin). This Zsalamar boy has got it bad.
